Language-Empire was established in 2001 with the aim to provide language services, big and small, to the public and private sector, nationwide. We provide Face-to-Face Interpreters in over 300 languages including rare and exotic languages, we provide Translators both from the UK and country of origins and we provide a telephone interpreting service in over 150 languages for emergency and pre-booked situations. At present Language Empire has over 20,000 approved face to face Interpreters. We have over 10,000 approved Translators in the UK and around the globe. Our telephone Interpreters are located in the UK, USA and Europe with over 5,000 telephone Interpreters on file.
Language Empire comfortably approves over 310 language professionals on a monthly basis from the 800 plus applications we receive on a monthly basis.

Language-Empire has its own bespoke software referred to as ‘LE-Language Service Manager’ to deal with face-to-face and translation bookings and telephone interpreting. The system allows clients to handle their own bookings and take control of their own accounts. Our software is interlinked with our internal administration, client on-line booking and our professional linguists connecting all together through one system to improve efficiency of service delivery and quick turnaround times.
Professional Body Memberships and Associations
Today, Language Empire is an approved member of the Association of Translation Companies (ATC) as well as being an approved member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC). Our face-to-face Interpreters are members of professional bodies such as the National Register of Public Service Interpreters, Institute Of Linguists, Institute of Translators and Interpreters and/or Association of Police and Court Interpreters.

We have based our pricing structures nationally to reflect best value for money in order to keep costs down whilst maintaining a high level of service for all clients. We run a bonus scheme for our freelancers. Furthermore, all our freelancers are provided with an induction and training session. Ongoing training and development sessions are provided with regards to various sectors such as National Probation Service, Mental Health, Social Services, NHS, PCT's, Crown Prosecution Service, Police, Family and Children's Services, Prison Services, Department for the Work and Pension Departments, Immigration Advisory Service and many more organisations which are likely to use language services.
