Language Empire - Achievements and Memberships
LAs well as aiming to provide an excellent service to all involved with Language-Empire, we also aim to higher our achievements and become members of professional bodies so that we can distinguish ourselves in the field of languages, language services and business development.

Alongside our achievements and members of professional bodies, we also complete in-house training and implement new policies and strategies of our own so that we are constantly improving and growing as an organisation.

The achievements listed below reflect our hard work and dedication to all of the aspects that relates to running a successful business.
ISO 9001


ISO 9001 is a group of standards for quality management systems. The ISO 9000 is maintained by the International Organisation for Standardisation. The rules are updated regularly and the requirements undergo constant change.

Some of the requirements in ISO 9001 are as follows:
  • Keeping sufficient records
  • Monitoring processes to ensure they are effective
  • Constantly aiming for continual improvement
  • Monitoring the service for any defects and, where appropriate, introducing corrective methods
  • A set of procedures that cover all key processes in the business and
  • Constant reviews on the individual processes and the quality system for effectiveness
By having the ISO 9001 in place does not guarantee the quality of the service we provide. However, our aim is to constantly provide an excellent service by constantly training our staff members and updating out policies and regulations as well as abiding by the requirements of the ISO 9001 to ensure that our aim is always accomplished.
Association of Translating Companies


Language-Empire is a member of the Association of Translating Companies. The ATC is dedicated to serving the needs of translation purchasers.

We became a member of the ATC to ensure that we adhere to the UK standards for translation services.

Members of the ATC are carefully vetted before admission into membership and, as members we must:
  • Adhere to a strict code of professional conduct
  • Be subject to the rulings of a professional ethics committee and
  • Carry full professional indemnity insurance cover to safeguard the interests of the translation purchaser.
With this membership in place, we have our customer’s best interest at heart.
Federation of Small Businesses


We are members of the Federation of Small Businesses, an organisation formed in 1974 with the interests of small businesses at heart.

Language-Empire is keen to continuously learn and expand its business through organisations such as FSB so that we, as a team, can help not only our business grow, but also your business too.
NHS


173 million working days were lost in 2007 due to sickness absence [Source CBI] and the 2008 Black Review of the health of the working age population reported that the cost to the economy of working age ill-health in the UK is estimated at around £100bn each year.

The NHS Plus scheme offers the following:
  • Services to prevent and remove health risks arising in the workplace and to help your business maintain a healthy workforce.
  • Screening and Surveillance services when early stages of ill health arise. These services will help you to develop solutions for your employees who are at work but with health issues.
  • Services to business providing independent and professional diagnosis, prognosis and advice on staff unable to work due to long-term or short-term intermittent health problems.
  • Lifestyle and well being services
Language-Empire has an agreement with the NHS Plus to carry out occupational health checks on our Interpreters. We aim to keep all aspects of health in to consideration as we rely heavily on our Interpreters, Translators and admin staff to ensure that the services we provide can run like clockwork. A healthy work force results in a healthy organisation.
ISO 27001


Language-Empire holds private data from all freelancers, clients and staff. It is of most importance to ensure that this data is protected with full security. For this reason, we have the ISO 27001 in place.

ISO 27001 is an Information Security Management System. The ISO 27001 system requires that management:
  • Systematically examines the organisations information security risks and ensuring that all threats, impacts and weaknesses are taken into consideration
  • Designs and uses a coherent and comprehensive suite of information security controls and
  • Use a management process to ensure that the information security controls continue to meet the organisations information security needs on an ongoing basis.
We have this in place to ensure that all data held by Language-Empire is fully protected and respected and the ISO 27001 reflects the rules we abide to ensure all clients and freelancers are comfortable with us holding their details.
Customer First Standard


We have the Customer First Standard in place to ensure that our relationship with our clients is a successful one.
The aim of Customer First is to help build customer relationships, maximise market awareness and develop our people and people skills.

By having this standard in place, we are committed to achieving customer service excellent, we deliver value added services to business and individual consumers, we are always looking for ways to improve relationships with all clients and we are seeking a competitive edge through the service we provide to our clients.

Language-Empire is fully committed to ensure that from initial contact to the service being provided is a successful journey for Language-Empire and most importantly for our customers.
REC


The REC is the representative body for the UK’s £27 billion private recruitment and staffing industry1. They have a membership capacity of 8000 corporate members and 6000 individual members.

With this in mind and with recruitment impacting every sector of the UK economy, Language-Empire became a member as our recruitment policy, vetting and criteria is fully approved by the REC.
Investors in Peoples Starndards


The Investors in People Standard is a business improvement tool designed to advance an organisation's performance. It aims to match what the organisations can do with what the organisation needs to do in order to reach its goals.

We have implemented this into Language-Empire so that we can transform part of our performance through the people that work for Language-Empire.

The IIPS has three main fundamental principles:
  • 1. Plan
  • 2. Do
  • 3. Review
By planning, we develop strategies to improve the organisation of the company. We put these strategies in place and finally, constantly review the performance and if necessary, we adjust these strategies.

This is one of the ways in which we invest into our company so that we are constantly delivering a high standard through everything that we do.
London Chamber of Commerce


Language-Empire is a member of the London Chambers of Commerce. The London Chambers of Commerce is a business network in which members have the goal of furthering their business interests.

As a member, we continuously attend new events and seminars to see how and where our business can expand.
