Continuing Education and Development Plan
The Interpreter Training Department at Language Empire provides on-going training in the following areas: Medical Government, Utility, Financial, Insurance, Court, Technical Terminology, 911, Stress Reduction, and Customer Service Skills.
Many of the training curricula are developed in collaboration with external training/teaching experts and with input from customers. The medical interpretation training was developed and our trainers were trained by the Cross Cultural Health Care Program, a leading medical interpreting training organization, located in Seattle, Washington All of Language Empire ’ training programs provide both training material and instructed training sessions. The training contents are pertinent to real call scenarios. Continuing Education Plan In the areas that require more detailed attention. We constantly create and administer new courses for continuing education with the idea that if we provide the highest quality of interpreter service we will grow and retain our client base. Below is an example of classes that every Language Empire interpreter must attend. Orientation Interpreters learn the difference between a successful interpreter interaction and an unsuccessful interaction, review and discuss the Interpreter Code of Ethics and learn about what to do when they get to an appointment and how to handle Language Empire calls. They also learn our rules, regulations and procedures. |
